Basic information about school

The Secondary Technical School of Třebíč is a regional centre of technical education with maximum emphasis put on linking the theory and the practice.

Within the full-time study the school offers graduation and apprenticeship branches of study, which are dominated by electronics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, car repair, information technology and arts and crafts of metal processing.

The advantage of these graduation and vocational studies is the fact that in the first year they have the same curricula, so the students can change their chosen field during the study. Students of graduation courses can choose different specializations during their studies.

In the grammar school type branch of study, the technical lyceum, two foreign languages are taught. From the third year of study the students choose one out of these specializations – Science, Advertising graphics and photography, Computer network engineering, Economics and Ecology.

All branches are focused on practice and prepare students for their future profession. The school cooperates very closely with the companies in our region. Their education requirements are to be included in the curricula, as has already been achieved in the branch of energetics and mechanic adjuster. School’s exemplary cooperation with companies is demonstrated by the prestigious award “Recommended by employers”. In the Vysočina region, our school regularly places among the top three schools.

Other possibilities of provided education are different types of follow-up and post-secondary studies. The school also offers a full car service, driving school, ICT in education, engineering, electrical engineering and artistic production, welding courses and further vocational training.

Students can use modern equipped classrooms, laboratories, workrooms for vocational training, school cafeteria, a modern sports hall with gym and a gymnastics hall and a multimedia auditorium. For commuters the school provides accommodation in double rooms with private facilities. The school receives indispensable support from the Vysočina region and prominent regional firms where students are part of professional practice and where they can afterwards get a job.

Professional qualification

Many people work or want to work in the field for which they have no qualifications. Act no. 179/2009 Coll. allows them to obtain a professional or complete qualification. The whole system, to put it simply, does not require daily attendance at school and systematic preparation for a chosen field. Just various vocational qualifications are required (in the form of an examinations), which then justify the fact that the candidates are admitted to the final examination and subsequently obtain an apprenticeship certificate – complete qualification. Some employers do not require a completed qualification and simply accept workers with one of the professional qualifications.

Professional qualification in electrical engineering: lightning conductors fitter, low voltage devices fitter, mechanic of electrical switchboards, network installer, mechanic of electrical installation.

Professional qualifications in the field of mechanical engineering: steel structures fitter, mechanic machinery and equipment, machinery and equipment repairman, locksmith.
